YouTube has announced a new feature they’re calling Safety Mode. Safety Mode is essentially a new content-filter to help with the potentially mature content that doesn’t quite meet the established “offensiveness” standards. YouTube Movie Rentals in the Works

YouTube recently announced that they would be testing a video rental service via their site. As a “Beta Test,” they’ve partnered with Sundance Film Festival and have five films available. It seems they will be available for rent until the end of the month

YouTube recently stated that they want to help push HTML 5 to the forefront and have begun a more robust experiment to use it on their site. You have to opt-in to beta program in order to see the HTML 5 pages and there are some serious limitations to what it can do right now. In a recent blog post, YouTube has stated that the number one request from user (hard to believe) was that YouTube do more with HTML 5
