After Much Consideration I Give You: The 32 Best Viral Videos Of 2011

Videos That Didn’t Make The Cut – Other YouTube Hits From 2011

One day, I hope, YouTube will make better filters for their site so that almost any search will be relevant to your needs.  For instance, the following is a list of videos that I had to use mad search skills to find.  You’d think two simple filters could be used on YouTube like “Most Views” and “By Year” but YouTube doesn’t have a “Yearly” filter.  They only have daily, weekly, and all-time filters.  That’s a curious omission.  Still, I endeavored to find those videos that come after the top 10 of 2011 , and I found some good results, some videos that were great that didn’t make the cut. With 37 million being the Top 10’s lowest view count, I looked for the ones that went just under that amount and came up with a comprehensive list.  There are probably some I missed, and I had to cut my own list off at 19 million views.  Still, this is fun viewing.  We have another Lonely Island video here, an awesome display of firepower from FPS Russia, a ton of musical parody and slapstick videos, and yes, a baby laughing at something we adults take for granted. This goes in somewhat of a particular order, but the view count can occasionally jump at a moment’s notice, so this is sort of the order I found them in.

Kardashians Invade Online Video – Kourtney Kardashian Web Series On The Way

Kardashian! Now that I have your attention, there’s a new Kourtney Kardashian web series on the way. Yes, Kourtney Kardashian is appearing in a new web series for E Online! called Kourtney’s Mommy Blog .  If you can’t get enough of the Kardashian family, or saying the name, “Kardashian” gives you peace (although I’m reticent to say it three times in front of a mirror), you can totally get into the world of mom advice as can only be delivered by the Kardashian clan.  You know, I just took a look at the first episode, and I can say for an absolute fact that Kourtney Kardashian knows a lot more about stylish kids’ clothes more than you do. The Kourtney Kardashian Web Series Here’s a picture of Kourtney Kardashian, who is pretty: As part of a companion series to E! Network’s Kim and Kourtney Take New York reality series, Kourtney’s Mommy Blog looks to give the motherly perspective of one of our culture’s most famous people.  Why is Kourtney Kardashian famous?  Because her sister Kim is.  Why is Kim famous?  She did a famous viral video with rapper Ray J that can still be seen today on YouT…oh, can’t be seen at all anywhere at any time on any website.

RCVR Series Is Machinima’s Answer To X-Files And Lost

New or recycled perspectives on extraterrestrial life will always be the fascination of sci-fi producers everywhere.  Aliens and UFO sightings continue to capture the imagination, and as web series begin to evolve and boost production value, a quality story can be told on the web, directly at the targeted audience of sci-fi geeks and conspiracy theorists whom are already there.  The latest series aiming for this audience is RCVR , a new X-Files type of show coming from one of YouTube’s top channels, Machinima .  But while its show structure seems aimed at The X-Files , its marketing is pure Lost .  This is an extremely good blueprint to launch your web series. Science Fiction Web Series RCVR From Machinima The first episode of the show has a good hook, one you might have seen before, but perhaps not in a web series.  RCVRs are people who have been communicated to by aliens, possessing knowledge about things like complex math that they did not before.  We follow a “RCVR-hunter” played by Daniel Bonjour, a character that seems very intent on finding “the truth,” which may be extremely familiar to those of you who remember Fox Mulder.  However, he has a bit of skepticism to him, he’s not ready to believe every story, so he’s a bit Dana Scully, too.
